Louane – Concert
In the wake of two diamond-certified albums and a platinum-selling third, “Joie de vivre”, Louane is back with a sensitively produced concept album. A moving communion with her fans through the artist’s social media accounts, with performances drawing on her personal stories as well as those inspired by her community. With music and lyrics written by the young artist herself, this fourth opus is an ode to “Sentiments”. A collection of 10 original, unadorned tracks, a raw, emotional gem.
Louane, is a French singer and actress. In France she became known for being a semi-finalist in the 2013 season of The Voice: la plus belle voix, and is known internationally for her role in the 2014 film La Famille Bélier, for which she won the César Award for most promising Actress. This year, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the famous cellars beneath the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo! Opened in 1874, they are a monument to the company’s long and illustrious history, in which they have often played an important role. These hidden jewels beneath the very foundations of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo are the quintessence of refinement and exclusiveness. Pasolini in Chiaroscuro – Exhibition
The new exhibition at the Villa Sauber honours Pier Paolo Pasolini, perhaps the last European intellectual to have gained worldwide renown. He is considered one of the defining public intellectuals in 20th-century Italian history, influential both as an artist and a political figure. A half-century on from his death, his influence can still be felt across the different fields in which he worked: he is read, commented on, adapted, and inspires contemporary creative artists. While he preferred to describe himself as a writer, it was his films that brought him to the public’s attention. The exhibition looks at his inspirations and his legacy. Lascaux à Monaco – Exposition
Original objects from the Lascaux cave exhibited on loan from the National Museum of Prehistory (Les Eyzies, Dordogne) and the Institute of Human Paleontology (Paris) and also hyper-realistic reconstructions of 5 Cro-Magnons by Elisabeth Daynes, a 1/10 scale model of the Lascaux cave with prehistoric paintings and lighting, and interactive tables and low-tech manipulatives. An original scenography organized around facsimiles and an immersive experience in Virtual Reality thanks to the #SPL LASCAUX, exclusively thanks to the Museum Partners. From Friday, April 19 to Thursday, November 21 at the Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique.
The Prince and the Mediterranean – Exhibition
As part of commemorations marking the centenary of Prince Rainier III (1923-2023), the Oceanographic Museum presents its new permanent exhibition, “The Prince and the Mediterranean”. Visitors to the exhibition, the Oceanographic Institute’s tribute to the unshakeable connection between Princer Rainier III and the ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea in particular, will step aboard his ship, Deo Juvante II. Guided by the voice of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, they will navigate through four fascinating spaces, each exploring a different facet of the Prince and his passion for all things aquatic. Discover an immersive and interactive experience! Take on the role of a roving reporter and set off on a mission to explore the Polar regions! This new exhibition includes five thematic areas spread over two levels. Learn about the Poles and their wildlife, and the men and women who populate and explore them. Fascinating objects and documents, digital content and immersive devices come together to create a 360° experience. The great voyage can begin! The Early Days of Télé Monte-Carlo, 1954-1974 – Exhibition
The Cabinet of Curiosities – “The Early Days of Télé Monte-Carlo, 1954-1974” – An exhibition looking at the first 20 years of Monaco’s TV channel launched in 1954. A selection of archives and objects will take you back in time, to the very earliest days of colour television. Organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco, the exhibition features items entrusted by Télé Monte-Carlo for safekeeping, documents from partner institutions, and materials kindly loaned by private individuals.
