A man in his thirties was sentenced to a six-month suspended prison sentence on Tuesday, April 16, having appeared before the tribunal of the Palace of Justice for driving well over the legal limit.
Appearing visibly drunk behind the handlebars of his scooter, a 37-year-old Portuguese man was stopped by police in front of the Estoril building in Larvotto on January 28, 2024.
The breathalyser displayed an alcohol level of 1.26 mg/litre of exhaled air, the equivalent of 2.52 grams in the blood. After some standard deliberation, the defendant was sentenced to a six-month suspended prison sentence with probation for two years, along with a two-year ban on driving in Monaco.
