Monaco police collected 123 undeclared firearms from 42 residents of the Principality since the beginning of April, including 3,500 rounds of ammunition, as part of its weapon collection campaign.

The individuals who handed in their firearms have avoided any risk of administrative or legal proceedings, as Monaco follows France in collecting weapons from its citizens.

At the end of 2022, France managed to collect more than 150,000 weapons without inflicting legal or administrative proceedings on the weapons’ former owners. The number of weapons in Monaco is much smaller, but so is the country.

No weapons of war or grenade-type explosives were collected so far during this campaign.
