An “Inspire Inclusion” lunch for members and non-members with speaker Susanne Bohush, a qualified Sophrologist and Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner, was held at the Italian restaurant, Norma, that doesn’t normally keep Fish’n’chips on the menu. But Chef Leo Piazza and his team did such a good job, crowning it with mushy peas, that he was called out of his kitchen for a round of applause.

But it was women – all wearing something purple, the colour associated with International Women’s Day, representing justice and dignity, who took part in a celebration of Women’s inclusion.

“When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world,” said British Association President Yvonne Bernhardt: “And when women themselves are inspired to be included there is a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment. Collectively, let’s forge a more inclusive world for women because when we empower a woman, we empower a community.”

Glasses were raised to the women who inspire us with their courage, determination and unwavering spirit, and a very special lunch ended with a birthday celebration, too, for one exceptional lady. Happy Birthday Yvonne!
