The Monaco Town Hall has organised Winter Carnival celebrations in the Monte-Carlo and Condamine markets, originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 14 but postponed until Wednesday, February 21, from 11:15 until 14:00.

This year, the Town Hall is offering free activities for children and grown-ups alike. Stilt walkers will be present alongside balloon sculptors and artists at make-up workshops. Visitors to the celebrations are encouraged to dress up in the crazy spirit of carnival.

“As an elected official, I consider that the organisation of these Winter Carnivals in our two markets was essential for our country because they strengthen our social fabric, stimulate the local economy and celebrate our unique cultural heritage,” said Axelle Amalberti Verdino, the deputy mayor in charge of Entertainment and Leisure.

“It is also important to point out that it has been a long time since Monaco organised a winter carnival in the city, which is a shame for a city of our size,” added the deputy.
