Monaco-headquartered Transocean Maritime Agencies has emerged behind an order for two ultramaxes in China, maritime news website splash247 reports.

Brokers report the bulker and tanker owner signing up for 64,000 dwt newbuilds at New Dayang Shipbuilding for delivery in 2026.

The ships, costing about $33m each, have been designed to meet IMO Tier III and EEDI Phase 3 requirements.
The Ruth McLoughlin-led privately owned company founded in the 1960s by the late Guenther Neunhoeffer last ordered ships in 2017 when it signed for a pair of kamsarmaxes at Jinling Shipyard Jiangsu.
