President of the Monaco Economic Board Michel Dotta greeted members at the first members’ meeting of the year, held on Thursday evening, January 18, at the Meridien Hotel.
He said the year will be a ‘capital’ one. Over the coming 12 months half of the world’s population will go to the polls, and no vote will be more closely watched than the American election in November.
Michel Dotta also paid tribute to Etienne Franzi at the head of AMAF, the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities. Present on the occasion, Mr Franzi has just handed over to Robert Laure as president of AMAF, an association that he directed for 25 years . The President of the MEB particularly praised “the remarkable work that has transformed an employers’ union into a real institution, essential in our economic landscape.”
Guillaume Rose, Executive General Director of the MEB, gave an overview of the dense program offered to MEB members in the first half of the year and presented the big news for 2024. From now on, companies will have the choice between two types of membership: Classic or Premium.

About 300 members attended the first Members’ Meeting of 2024
The new Premium plan offers, in addition to the services of the Classic membership, six advantages: 1 – Participation of up to five people, instead of two, in events and activities organized by the MEB (subject to availability); 2 – Priority registration for all events and activities; 3 – Possibility of participating in an exclusive annual event dedicated to Premium members only; 4 – Priority of allocation for invitations that the MEB would distribute through one of its partners (event, trade show, etc.); 5 – Possibility of appearing in a new section of the MEB site entitled “Our Premium Companies”. Each Premium member will benefit from a page dedicated to their communication according to a predefined model; 6 – Support for the MEB communications team in dealing with local media. But for all its members,
The MEB offers a packed program for the first half of the year with economic missions to Riyadh (January 23-27), Morocco (April 16-19) and London (June 10-13); receptions of delegations of entrepreneurs from Tunisia (February 22) and Austria (April 18); a session dedicated exclusively to individual meetings between member companies (April); conferences with renowned economists: Jean-Christophe Caffet from Coface (February 8), Christophe Barraud from Market Securities (May 16) and also English-speaking speakers, details of which will be communicated soon.
