A Monegasque* delegation led by HE Mr Pierre Dartout took part in the third Summit of the European Political Community, which was held on October 5, 2023, under the Spanish presidency in Grenada.
Crucially, the event is not limited to EU member states.
This high-level meeting follows the Prague summits (October 2022) and Chisinau (June 2023), a meeting of 43 Heads of State and Government, the Presidents of the European Council, of the European Parliament and the European Commission, as well as the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and security policy
As at previous summits, the objective was to strengthen cohesion, cooperation and dialogue between all European countries, with a view to preserve the peace and security of the continent.
Representatives had the opportunity to discuss several subjects of common interest, including digital transition, artificial intelligence and current strategic multilateral issues.
After the plenary session, Mr Dartout participated in a round table on energy and spoke of Monaco’s initiatives on renewable sources.
The Minister of State also took the opportunity to meet with his counterparts from Andorra and San Marino.
