The head of the Southern Region of SNCF has promised a train very 15 minutes from Nice to Monaco, but not immediately.
The much more frequent service will start on December 13, 2024, each day from 06:00 until 23:00.
If the plan is not delayed or derailed this will make a huge difference to the reliability and attractiveness of the daily commute compared to travelling by car.
Renaud Muselier added that passenger numbers on the local TER system jumped by 23 percent between April 2022 and April 2023.
