On the initiative of the Italian Embassy in Monaco, the Monaco Economic Board received several economic organisations and companies from Liguria at an economic forum intended to strengthen ties between the Principality and the Italian region so close but with sometimes unsuspected attractions.

The forum, at the Yacht Club on June 2, was opened by HE Giulio Alaimo, Italian Ambassador to Monaco.

In addition to the Italian Embassy, the Chambers of Commerce of Riviere di Ligura and that of Genoa and the Liguria region participated in the event.

Guillaume Rose, Executive Director General of the MEB, chaired the session of speeches and brief presentations by representatives of the various organisations. He said that “this meeting constitutes a new stage in the economic relations between Monaco and Liguria.”

The main session was followed by a networking session during about fifteen member companies of the MEB each had a table to welcome Italian entities interested in their activities.

In all, nearly fifty meetings took place. At the end of the event, a cocktail offered by the Italian Embassy allowed continue the exchanges, in the presence of officials and companies invited for the occasion. A friendly and effective way to promote meetings but also to honor the national holiday Italian which resonates in a particular way in the Principality.
