As part of an agreement relating to cooperation in penitentiary matters signed on June 24, 2021, between the Directorate of Judicial Services of Monaco and the Department of Penitentiary Administration of the Ministry of Justice of France, prison administrators have been visiting the Principality’s detention facilities.
A delegation came from the Inter-regional Directorate of Penitentiary Services of Marseille led by Mr Thierry Alves, Interregional Director, accompanied by Mrs Claire Doucet, Director of the Draguignan Prison, Mr. Jean-Marc Ernst, Director of the prison security team, of Mr Didier Crabol, head of ARPEJ, and Mr Franck Suelves, head of training.
The visit on Friday, September 16, at the Maison d’Arrêt was described as “extremely rich” and offered the opportunity to exchange expertise on professional practices, and more specifically on judicial transfers and judicial extraditions.
