A man who was stopped by police for not wearing a mask on July 28 last year, when wearing a face mask was still compulsory, remonstrated with an officer and called him names, French-language daily Monaco Matin reported.
His remarks included: “I don’t give a fuck… You act crazy in uniform… Hole in the ass…”
However, the 29 year-old’s low tolerance for being stopped by the police and told what to do led to his arrest. He had no previous record and was not drunk, Monaco’s Criminal Court was told.
The prosecution called for 45 days in jail, suspended, and a fine of 1,000 euros. However, the bench took a more tolerant view and imposed a fine of 500 euros.
