Hans Kluge, regional director of the World Health Organisation, has awarded a special trophy to health professionals in Monaco for their outstanding service during the coronavirus pandemic.

In recognition of the award, Christophe Robino, Minister of Social Affairs and Health, brought together at the Princess Grace Hospital the representatives of the main players in the fight against coronavirus: the Department of Health, the Town Hall, the COVID-19 Unit, the Home monitoring centre, the College of Physicians, the College of Pharmacists, the Association of liberal nurses, IM2S, the Cardio-Thoracic Centre of Monaco, the Monegasque Red Cross, and city firefighters and doctors.

Christophe Robino expressed his most sincere thanks to those present, and through them, to all the health professionals in the Principality, for their efforts and constant involvement during the two years of health crisis. The WHO Trophy, intended for all of these professionals, was symbolically awarded to the Princess Grace Hospital Centre, because of its key role in crisis management in Monaco, as well as for the help it provided to the neighbouring Alpes-Maritimes.
