The coronavirus pandemic is largely behind us in the Principality, according to Government figures released late on Monday.

However, the fact that five residents with coronavirus symptoms are currently receiving treatment as in-patients at Princess Grace Hospital is evidence that, although diminished, the disease has not disappeared.

The benchmark incidence rate fell to 148 per 100,000, measured on a rolling seven-day basis, as of Sunday, May 28, compared to 271 one week earlier. The latest figures are based on 1,394 PCR and antigen tests.

The number of residents with mild symptoms recovering at home stood at 41 on Monday, May 30.
