Saint Paul’s Anglican Church was the venue on Thursday, March 10, for a concert by two talented musicians, flautist Manuela Mattes and harpist Sylvain Blassel.
Composers for the evening were Bach, Debussy, Ibert, Rameau and Schubert.
Sylvain’s instrument is particularly interesting, as it dates from 1916 and was first played by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Manuela said that the coronavirus lockdown helped her to practise.
The concert will be repeated at Saint Michael’s Anglican Church in Beaulieu-sur-Mer on Friday, March 11.
