A resident aged 72 has died after having tested positive for coronavirus, the Monaco Government said on Wednesday evening, January 19. It is not known if the victim had underlying health conditions or whether they had been vaccinated, although the vast majority of deaths are in unvaccinated patients.
Meanwhile, 98 residents tested positive for coronavirus on January 19 while 140 were declared fully-recovered.
The number of people receiving treatment for coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital has risen to 48. Twenty-four are residents. One of the residents is in intensive care.
Three hundred and seventeen residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home under the supervision of the Home Monitoring Centre.
