The Government reported 81 new coronavirus cases on Monday, January 17, while 60 residents were reported to have recovered fully.

The number of patients with coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital stood at 40 on Monday evening. Twenty-two are residents. One resident is in intensive care.

A total of 373 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home.

Some good news has been noted with a very slight fall in the benchmark incidence rate (measured over a seven day period), to 1,953 per 100,000 as of Sunday, January 16, compared to 1,966 seven days earlier. The same rate in the neighbouring Alpes-Maritimes now stands at 3,360, as of Monday, January 17.
