Two residents, 91 and 100, have succumbed to coronavirus, the Government announced on the evening of Tuesday, January 11. It is believed to be the case – but not yet confirmed – that neither person had been vaccinated

During the most recent 24-hour period, 78 residents tested positive for coronavirus while 104 were declared fully-recovered.

Thirty-four patients are being treated for coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital, including 15 residents. One of the residents is in intensive care.

The number of patients with relatively mild symptoms, recovering at home, has fallen to 239.

In the UK on Tuesday, January 11, 120,821 new cases and 379 new deaths were recorded, the highest number of daily deaths since February 24 last year. In France, 341 new deaths were reported on the same day together with 368,149 new cases, a record.
