A concierge of 12 years in a prestigious Monaco residence has been jailed for six months following evidence of misuse of an apartment during the owner’s absence in December 2020, local French-language daily Monaco Matin reported.

Upon her return, the owner of the residence and luxury cars knew that her vehicles were used throughout her absence as she had taken photos of the speedometers with her phone before leaving home.

The concierge had full access to the owner’s range of expensive cars and took a Bentley for several joy rides, ultimately putting 1,000 kilometres on the clock, which was used against him as evidence at Monaco Criminal Court.

The police proved that the concierge gave the keys to the apartment to a teenage girl who he hosted in the apartment overnight.
