Eighty Monaco residents tested positive for coronavirus during the latest 24-hour period ending on Saturday evening, December 25. Fifty-three residents were declared fully-recovered.
Sadly, this figure sets a new daily record, 69 new cases having been reported on Thursday and 63 on Wednesday.
Among 27 patients being treated for coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital, nine are residents. Five non-residents are in intensive care.
According to the Government’s arithmetic, 297 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home.
France, too, set a new daily record on Christmas Day, with 104,611 new infections reported by the national health agency, the first time the 100,000 figure has been surpassed. Three weeks ago, the daily number was close to 50,000.
