Céline Cottalorda, the person appointed by the Government to coordinate initiatives to promote women’s rights, on Monday presented the 2021 campaign to fight violence against women.

The international day for the elimination of violence against women takes place on November 25 with several activities in Monaco.

This year’s theme is manipulation by the perpetrators and to show that violence against women can take different forms: psychological, verbal, sexual, economic and physical, and that it is not only outward signs of physical injury that indicate violence, which usually takes place at home.

A short film is being shown on Monaco Info and on Friday a number of stands will promote the message outside Carrefour in Fontvieille.

On Thursday night several buildings in Monaco will be illuminated orange in a show of support.
