The Monaco Government announced on Thursday afternoon that the Health Pass will be extended until February 25 next year, at the end of the school holiday.

The Pass will also become necessary again on all restaurant terraces from December 1 and will be extended to include those aged between 16 and 18.

In addition, the maximum capacity for audiences at performances will be reduced to 300 from 1,000. This will have a major impact on the Opera, the Princess Grace Theatre and the Grimaldi Forum.

The Government said it is introducing the new rules following a “general deterioration” in the pandemic situation in Europe. It also noted that there has been an increase in infections in the Principality in recent days.

“For the pandemic to be defeated and for life to return to normal, the vast majority of the population of residents and people working in Monaco must be vaccinated,” the Government said.
