The benchmark coronavirus infection rate in the Principality on Sunday, August 29, stood at 130.38 per 100,000, down from 192.96 seven days previously. The data was based on 4,808 PCR and antigen tests carried out over the period.

In comparison, the rate in the neighbouring Alpes-Maritimes stood at 355 per 100,000 on Monday, August 30.

Meanwhile, five new coronavirus cases were reported on Monday, August 30, in Monaco, based on positive tests. Twelve residents were declared fully-recovered.

A total of 19 patients were being treated for coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital on Monday. Of seven residents, one is in intensive care.

The number of residents with mild symptoms recovering at home has dropped to 43.
