Despite an announcement in mid-July that PCR coronavirus tests will no longer be offered free of charge from August 15, Monegasques and residents can continue to avail themselves of this service at the National Screening Centre at the Rainier III Auditorium, without a prescription.

However, employees of Monaco entities who present themselves for testing – who don’t have symptoms of infection – will have to present a doctor’s prescription.

The Government decision is in line with encouraging as many residents as possible to present themselves for vaccination.
