Monaco students scored 100 percent success in this year’s Bac results. “It’s a very good vintage, said Monaco’s Commissioner General in charge of the Directorate of National Education, Isabelle Bonnal.

The 280 candidates from the Albert-1er and FANB high schools even gleaned 265 mentions, including 61 Very Good mentions. This is remarkable and makes her very proud, Ms Bonnal said.

Continuous assessment in this very difficult year accounted for 40 percent of the final mark.

There were also “very good , too,” on the Bac vocational side. Of the 98 candidates enrolled in the Technical and Hotel School of Monaco, only one will go through the catch-up. Seventy-seven received a mention, including 12 Very Good.

Isabelle Bonnal is looking forward to next year with caution, but also with with “serenity and optimism”.

“We are not content to provide lessons to our students, we also help them overcome difficult periods in life,” she added.
