The Direction de l’Aménagement Urbain (DAU) has launched a project with the purpose of renewing the telephone networks, public lighting, sanitation and water supply of Avenue d’Ostende.
In cooperation with Monaco Telecom, the Société Monégasque des Eaux and the Société Monégasque de l’Electricité et du Gaz, the DAU will put various measures in place to minimise the impact of the construction site on the environment.
The construction will be carried out in phases along the bus lane, to keep traffic flowing. Meanwhile acoustic barriers will be set up in order to keep noise and dust at bay.
The DAU has chosen this period to carry out its renewal project as it comes between this year’s Grand Prix and the testing period of the new roundabout on the Place Saint Devote.
From June 7 to October 22 this year, the avenue’s public lighting and sanitation networks will be renewed, while separate sewerage networks will be established up to rue Princesse Alice from October 22 until February 25, 2022.
