A kindergarten student at the Carmes school has tested positive for Covid-19 following contamination in the family. The student was sent home from school, in accordance with the procedure recommended by the Monegasque health authorities.
As PCR tests are not carried out on kindergarten students and they are not required to wear a mask, the Prince’s Government has decided, as a precaution, that all pupils of the class concerned will be sent home until Monday, February 14, inclusive.
The parents of the pupils concerned are encouraged to watch their children for any symptom suggestive of coronavirus. School staff will be tested and the other classes at the school will remain open.
