It has become increasingly difficult for Monegasques and foreign residents to travel in France. However, since the latest French crackdown at its borders there is a de facto 30 kilometre tolerance zone for travel without the need for a PCR test, according to reliable sources.

Beyond that there is a need for an ‘imperative reason’ to travel, and that has to be backed up by a negative coronavirus test result from within the previous 72 hours.

Certainly, it has become much more problematic – if not impossible – to travel across France to reach Switzerland, to go skiing or to make it to a secondary residence further afield.
