A cleaning lady who was on the way to tell her employer that his new apartment was too big to cope with has been found guilty of reckless driving. After she confused the accelerator with the brake on accessing the “Carré d´Or” car park during ‘confinement’ in April this year, the lady in question collided with her employer, who had been waiting for her.

He was knocked to the ground, local French daily Monaco Matin reported, while the dazed driver was also injured when her car hit a wall. The former employer, who had taken on an apartment of 800 square metres, evidenced a forgiving nature while the former cleaner suffered a gash to her forehead and needed to take two months off work, the court heard.

The court decided that no judicial penalty was needed.
