The Government announced on Thursday evening that schools in the Principality will remain open on Friday.
The neighbouring French Departement had earlier announced that schools will be closed due to the arrival overnight of Storm Alex, which could cause localised flooding.
Most Monaco school students don’t have far to travel from their homes, and the flooding threat to schools is considered to be lower than in some neighbouring communities.
However, there will be no sanctions imposed on students who do not come to school on Friday.
