Monday, August 31, is the last day in post of HE Serge Telle, Monaco’s Minister of State.
Mr Telle was invested as a Commander of the Order of Grimaldi by HSH Prince Albert at a ceremony at the Prince’s Palace on Friday. The Sovereign thanked Mr Telle for his service and loyalty. Members of the Prince’s Cabinet were also in attendance. Mr Telle had also served as France’s ambassador to Monaco from 2006-2007.
In an interview with local French-language daily Monaco Matin on Saturday, Mr Telle said that he had been very happy in Monaco. He accepted that his relations with the elected National Council had sometimes been represented in the press as somewhat complicated, but added that the point of political life is to find solutions, not create problems, and this is how matters had been dealt with.
The post of Minister of State will be filled by Pierre Dartout, who has served as the Prefect of the Paca region since 2016.
