With nearly 300 employees threatened with unemployment as a result of the coronavirus crisis, the Monaco Government has decided to extend its support through CTTR (Support for Temporary Total Unemployment.)
Until the end of October, salaries will be paid at 80 percent of their usual level, as has been the case since August 1.
CTTR support started at 100 percent in May and June, falling to 90 percent in July and 80 percent during the current month. Only nightclubs will continue to receive 100 percent support for their workforce, as they continue to be closed.
Employers who take on a worker with more than 20 years’ work history in the Principality, who have been laid off because of coronavirus, can be excused from paying social charges for that worker for a two-year period.
