Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, on Wednesday chaired the first meeting of the Trade Observatory since the lifting of lockdown.
Representative at the meeting came from the main districts and shopping centres, joining representatives of the National Council, the Town Hall, the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, the Monegasque Real Estate Chamber, IMSEE (Statistics Office), the Association des Industries Hôtelières de Monaco, and the Union des Commerçants et Artisans de Monaco.
The minister spoke of initiatives that have already been implemented, while participants discussed what more can be done to help this sector, which had been so badly hit by the coronavirus lockdown.
Jean Castellini renewed his support for the trade and catering industry and confirmed the need to implement concrete measures in addition to the various types of financial aid already provided.
