Monaco’s open air cinema will light up the Rock on Friday night, beating every French cinema to be the first to come to life.
To make the occasion, tickets will be discounted by 30 percent, the director, Thierry Fréhet said. “We will be showing popular films in their original versions, with sub-titles,” Mr Frehet added. The first to be shown will be The Invisible Man, a horror/thriller with Elisabeth Moss, which was released in March just as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.
To follow over the next few weeks will be The Greatest Showman, Joker, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Avengers. Ticket prices will range from eight to 15 euros.
Due to the need for social distancing, only a portion of the 550 seats will be used, and all seats will be disinfected on a daily basis.
