Twin Bottles: Message in a Bottle, two floating steel sculptures, have been installed in the harbour in front of the Yacht Club. The project is a collaboration between the sculptor Helidon Xhixha and the young Swiss photographer Giacomo “Jack” Braglia and is intended to condemns the pollution of the seas due to discarded plastic bottles.
The two artists blended their artistic techniques – shaping steel and 3D photography – in designing a big environmental installation which represents two crushed bottles which float in the water and seem like discarded waste.
The Twin Bottles: Message in a Bottle was displayed in Venice on from July 20, 2019, in Canal Grande in the water area in front of Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, where the artwork was on display until September 1.
