The Monaco Government is to give 950,000 euros to subsidise a maritime shuttle between Nice and Monaco.
The move has been fully supported by the National Council. The president of the elected body’s Finance and Economy Committee, Balthazar Seydoux, said that the launch of tenders to operate the service will take place soon, and Monaco companies will be able to take part.
The service will provide a partial alternative to the rail and road services, and may enter service as soon as 2020.
