A robot called ALF will soon be a familiar sight around the Principality, carrying packages and mail and taking the burden off the postman or postwoman he’s programmed to follow. The robot is programmed to recognise the postman’s legs and will follow at a distance of half a metre.

Each robot has a volume of one cubic metre and is configured to come in several formats.

There will be five such robots deployed by 2020, firstly in the eastern part of Monaco, at Place des Moulins. ALF stands for Assistance to Logistics Factor.
