Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, chaired a meeting of the Joint Committee of the Monetary Agreement between the European Union and Monaco held in Monaco on Tuesday, October 22.
The delegation from the European Union was made up of representatives of the French banking and financial authorities, the European Commission and the European Central Bank. Topics discussed included the Monegasque coin minting programme for 2020, the updating of European legal acts in banking and financial regulations, fraud and counterfeiting, and the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
Monaco’s Government said that the meeting took place in a spirit of constructive dialogue.
