With temperatures set to reach 34 degrees in Monaco on Wednesday and Thursday, the Government has issued a new warning on the associated dangers of the latest heatwave.

Among the key recommendations are to avoid going outside between 11:00 and 17:00, rest in a cool place in the afternoon, avoid gardening or other exercise, wear light clothing, and keep shutters and window blinds closed during the day.

It is also important to drink at least 1.5 litres of water, even when not thirsty. “Avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, tea, soft drinks and sugary drinks as these drinks promote dehydration,” the Government advice states. In case of emergency, dial 112 for the Fire Brigade.
