His Excellency Mr Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, has delivered a letter to Martin Peronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, renewing funding for the Monaco Care Safety internet security solution for individuals and businesses, for three years.

The Government commitment is in line with the policy introduced in 2016 as part of the Principality’s Digital Security Strategy, pursued in close collaboration with the Monaco Cyber Security Agency. It marks a determination to offer everyday support for an effective personal data protection solution.

The Minister of State explained: “With this partnership, we are putting in place a vital policy: we must ensure the best possible cybersecurity for everyone.”

The Monaco Care Safety solution, rolled out in partnership with F-Secure, a Finnish firm and a global player in the field of cybersecurity, is free and included as part of Monaco Telecom’s La Fibre, LaBox and UHD packages. It has been available since July 2019.

Martin Peronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, said: “We are fully committed to working with the Government to help every resident and every business in the Principality better protect their use of digital technology. The F-Secure solution is reliable, easy to install and free. It enables numerous acts of fraud to be blocked on the majority of the equipment used.”

“F-Secure exists to make every digital moment more secure, for everyone. The threat landscape becomes more intense every year, with ever more advanced cybercriminals and online threats, particularly on mobile devices. We are actively working with the Government and Monaco Telecom to offer effective digital protection to all citizens of the Principality,” explained Cyrille Parry, Global Accounts Manager at F-Secure.
