The three-day auction in Monaco will be at the Hermitage Hotel, Monte-Carlo, starting on Monday, January 16, at 14:00 with High Jewellery and at 18:00 Fine Watches. A Rolex Day-Date in yellow gold with a Blood Jasper dial, a Patek Philippe 3940 in a pink gold version, a Rolex Daytona chronograph with a Paul Newman dial… all these watchmaking nuggets have been carefully selected by the department, the house says.

For the final January sale, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 14:00, the spotlight will turn to Ladies Watches (Le temps est féminin), This year, Artcurial will present a selection as precious as it is astonishing of watches for women. “Fruit of the encounter between watchmaking, jewellery and femininity, this selection is made up of secret watches, jewellery watches, sports watches and pendant watches, all signed by the biggest names in watchmaking.

Lots will be available to view on each day.

France’s foremost auction house has been very successful over the past 12 months, and 2022 was a record-breaking year for Artcurial.

“With a strong increase of collections sold, all specialties included, the House reaffirms its prominent role and its know-how in accompanying and advising collectors. These results were notably driven by the Fine Arts and Motorcar departments, with some auction records, such as for Jean-Siméon Chardin’s Panier de Fraise des Bois.

“True to its DNA, Artcurial also continued to develop new segments. The success of the first sales of NFT and Brazilian Design, and the expansion of sales of ‘very contemporary’ art, with Generation 21, are all signs of Artcurial’s dynamism, the house said.”
