The benchmark incidence rate of positive tests rose to 401 as of Sunday, November 27, up from 240 one week earlier. The figure is based on the number of positive tests adjusted per 100,000 population.
The jump is enough to cause alarm bells to ring among the relevant authorities and we can expect more pressure to wear masks and wash our hands in days to come.
Of 10 patients being treated for coronavirus symptoms at Princess Grace Hospital, three are residents. Two of the ten are in intensive care.
A total of 91 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home.
