The 27th European Heritage Days take place this year within the theme of ‘Sustainable heritage’.

Heritage, enduring by nature, is yesterday’s legacy that we enjoy today thanks to the commitment of an entire community. It comes to us because it has been restored and preserved by past generations.

This 2022 edition offers the possibility of meeting heritage stakeholders through a forty sites as well as a contemporary art trail.

Initiated by the Council of Europe, this event is celebrated today by more than 50 countries that are signatories of the European Cultural Convention.

Around 70,000 events are held on this occasion throughout Europe with 30 million visitors expected. European Heritage Days have been held in Monaco since 2018 by the Institut du Heritage, under the aegis of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The Principality participated for the first time in European Heritage Days in 1996.
