Presided over by HSH Prince Albert, the 73rd Monaco Red Cross Ball takes place on Friday, July 18, on Casino Square for the second time since its creation.

The evening highlights the Monaco Red Cross’ daily work for the most vulnerable people, an ongoing work to support those in need over the past 73 years. It pays tribute to sponsors of the Monaco Red Cross whose generosity helps prevent and ease the suffering of the most vulnerable in society.

The history of the Monaco Red Cross is intricately linked to the Prince’s Family. Created in March 1948 by Prince Louis II, the Monaco Red Cross was recognised in the same year by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and admitted to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

It is one of the 190 National Societies belonging to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and respects its seven fundamental principles. The Monaco Red Cross was presided over successively by Prince Rainier III from 1949 to 1958, followed by Princess Grace from 1958 to 1982.  Since December 1982, it has been presided over by HSH Prince Albert II.

During his 40-year Presidency, the Sovereign Prince has ensured that the Monaco Red Cross plays an active role, both nationally and internationally, within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Monaco Red Cross donors will be welcomed from 19:30 at the cocktail buffet served on the Terrasses du Soleil, between the majestic façade of Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo and the Mediterranean Sea.

Adriana Karembeu and Imany will report on the activities of the Monaco Red Cross for the year 2022, and will preside over the raffle with five prestigious prizes.

The evening will welcome Alicia Keys for a concert during which she will perform her new compositions but also give life to her classics.
