In less than a month, Artcurial will resume its summer quarters on the Riviera, at the Hôtel Hermitage, in the heart of eternal elegance: Monte-Carlo!

Clocks and watches, jewellery, Hermès and other luxury bags, comics and Monaco sculptures will all be here, on display before the three sales in the emblematic Hôtel Hermitage.

Encouraged by the success of the January 2022 session, which totalled more than four million euros including fees, the jewellery department is once again bringing together a very fine set of contemporary and antique pieces with iconic signatures.

Artcurial begins its Time is Feminine and collectible watchmaking sales with The Sparkling Collection, an exceptional collection of nearly 80 ladies’ watches from a private collection. This is a hidden treasure from the Thousand and One Nights, which has remained in a chest for more than forty years, of remarkable quality, Artcurial says.

Monaco Sculptures returns this summer for a third session, bringing together a tight selection of sculptures by iconic artists of the 20th and 21st centuries such as Wang Keping, Bernar Venet, Christian Lapie and Philippe Hiquily, Baltasar Lobo, and Marino Marini. The pieces are already on display in the emblematic establishments of the Société des Bains de Mer and gardens of Monte-Carlo.

The Luxury Fashion & Accessories department is once again offering collectors and leather goods enthusiasts several bags from the most emblematic luxury houses. Hermès, a historic leather goods manufacturer, is at the heart of this summer session with its iconic models, the Birkin, Kelly and Constance bags. The astonishing rainbow of colours offered by the house highlights the different leathers and exotic skins of the bags presented during the sale. The most sought after pieces like special orders and limited editions will delight collectors around the world.

The Comics Department, present for the first time in Monte-Carlo, will be auctioning a set of 25 original drawings by Enki Bilal. His work, which addresses the themes of time and memory, remains strikingly topical. The selected works are taken from the albums Julia&Roem, La Couleur de l’air and La Tétralogie du MONSTER. All the works will be on display from June at the Espace Artcurial Monaco, then at the Hermitage where the dispersion of this collection will be held during a dedicated sale on Thursday July 21 at 16:00.
