The Monaco association Women World Leaders has raised a total of 40,000 euros for the fight for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
The money was raised during the ‘Evening of the Heart,’ which took place in April at the Yacht Club of Monaco.
This week two cheques were handed over, each for 20,000 euros, to the Cardiothoracic Hospital and to the Princess Grace Hospital.
Association president Chantal Ravera said that cardiovascular diseases constitute a real health problem and one in two women in Europe dies from this condition.
The association will hold a similar charity event in April next year, and this year a further fund-raising event called ‘The Gestures of Life’ will take place on October 22.
