One of the films streamed on Tuesday, May 31 at 19:30 is A Bird Flew In.

‘When the COVID 19 lock down is announced, the entire cast and crew of a feature film are sent home – alone – and became actors without an audience; a production crew without a set; and directors without a script. Couples fell apart, while others came together, and some found themselves simply alone. A feature film composed of seven interlinked narratives, A Bird Flew In follows and examines what happens when we are freed from external distractions and forced to find a meaning in our loves and lives.’

Join us for a screening of A Bird Flew In, followed by a Q&A with one of the film’s stars, Jeff Fahey; director Kirsty Bell; and producers Ben Charles Edwards and Phil McKenzie, hosted by Theo Dumont.

On Wednesday 1 June (Global Day of Parents) festival will open its’ doors to parents and their children to attend an afternoon of children’s animation and films. Free popcorn will be provided.

On Thursday, June 2 at 19:30, a world premiere of episode 7 of Gaslit will be streamed, before it’s release on STARZPLAY on June 5, followed by a Q&A with the show’s creator, Robbie Pickering, hosted by Carlo Fasino. A modern take on the Watergate scandal, Gaslit is the insane but shockingly true story of Arkansan socialite Martha Mitchel, starring Julia Roberts and Sean Penn.

The Festival will also host an array of summits, conferences, keynotes and panel discussions with key individuals in VOD (Video in Demand), production and distribution. Come and listen and learn from these speakers. Take part in Q&A sessions with industry leaders. Listen to the leaders of content production, content distribution and the technology driving the sector and help shape the future! Friday, June 10 at 20:00

Show in support of Ukraine at Grimaldi Forum

Seven talented Circassian artists recount their attachment to Ukraine, their country of origin, in an exceptional show combining art of movement, theatre, classical and contemporary dance.

Open your eyes, hold your breath and let your imagination fly! On a ground-covered stage, between light and shadow, seven Ukrainian acrobats push the limits of the human body and take you on the traces of their personal stories, between love, freedom and tradition. Drawing on the roots of the performers, the musical universe of the production is a subtle alliance of Tatar, Moldovan and Ukrainian folk sounds.

Directed and choreographed by Bence Vagi, founder and artistic director since 2012, of the Hungarian contemporary circus company Recirquel, My Land has been a phenomenal success since its premiere in 2018 at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. Played for more than 200 times across Europe, this show takes on a special dimension with the news of the war in Ukraine.

All proceeds from this performance will be donated by the Grimaldi Forum Monaco to the Monegasque Red Cross for Ukraine.
