AS Monaco basketball suffered a severe loss on October 17, despite winning 90-60 against French league rivals Elan Chalon, as their star shooting guard Khadeem Carrington fell victim to a season-ending knee injury. It was later confirmed that Carrington had in fact broken the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The caption reads: “ASM stands firmly by (Carrington’s) side during this difficult time and wishes him the best recovery so that he comes back even stronger”

Carrington is now expected to be sitting on the sideline for six months, or the remainder of the all-important 7DAYS EuroCup in which the shooting guard had so far contributed generously to the Principality side’s success. In the last three European games he played, Carrington averaged 10.0 points and 4.3 rebounds.
