It is unlikely that your airline will let you in on the secret, but if you are travelling to the UK from France, or anywhere else, you will need to complete an arrival form before you land in the UK. The requirement applies to all travellers, regardless of nationality.

The form should not be completed more than 48 hours before planned arrival.

Travellers on easyJet last week knew nothing of the requirement until arriving at immigration control in the UK, resulting in inconvenience, delays and queues. Those with android telephones were not able to download the necessary link when provided with details at the UK Border.

This form can be downloaded from https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
