The Médiathèque kicks off its fall season with a range of exciting events throughout September for all ages. For literature lovers, a literary café will take place on Friday, 13 September, at 12:15, in collaboration with the Prince Pierre Foundation of Monaco. The event will feature discussions about debut novels selected for the Discovery Prize at the Louis Notari Library, with free entry.
Cinephiles can enjoy a screening of Don Siegel’s classic film, “The Lineup” (1958), presented by Yves Gasiglia, on Thursday, 19 September, at 18:30. This free event will also be held at the Louis Notari Library.
For those who enjoy games, a special game night is set for Friday, 20 September, at 19:00 at the Princess Caroline Library. This event, featuring a variety of short and fun games, requires registration but is free to attend. Music enthusiasts are invited to a musical conference on Friday, 27 September, at 18:30, where Bernard Guiraud will present “Once Upon a Time Ennio Morricone,” a celebration of the famed Italian composer’s most iconic film scores. This free event will also be held at the Louis Notari Library. Additionally, every Tuesday at 12:15, visitors can attend “Picnic Music,” a lunchtime concert screened at the José Notari Multimedia Library.
There are also several engaging events planned for children and their families. The Princess Caroline Library will host a ‘Tooth Box’ craft workshop for parents and children on Wednesday, 18 September, from 15:00 to 16:00. This workshop is open to children aged three and above and has free entry upon registration. A storytelling session will take place on Wednesday, 25 September, from 15:00 to 16:00, where children aged three and older can enjoy delightful tales.
For the littlest ones, aged 0 to 3, three special sessions are planned: a reading session on Tuesday, 10 September, from 10:00 to 11:30; a sign language workshop titled “Little Hands, Big Words” on Tuesday, 17 September, from 10:00 to 11:00; and a musical awakening session on Tuesday, 24 September, from 10:00 to 11:30, where they can explore a variety of instruments.
